Services

A consulting practice off North Terrace, an accounting firm on the Kent Town strip, a supplier out near Mawson Lakes — the requirements rhyme. Keep mail moving, keep data defensible, keep people working. Hand the whole lot across and it becomes the managed IT support Adelaide businesses keep by choice.

Cyber Security

Multi-factor authentication, phishing controls, endpoint protection and audits mapped to the Essential Eight — applied in the order that removes the most risk first.

Microsoft 365

Tenant builds, licence right-sizing, mail flow and security policy — configured properly once, then maintained rather than left to drift.

Google Workspace

Domain setup, mailbox and Drive migration, sharing controls and the admin housekeeping teams running on Google tend to postpone.

Websites

WordPress sites built and hardened by an engineer: quick to load, sensibly hosted, and still patched twelve months after launch.

Remote Support

Help the day something breaks, with nothing to sign. A secure session almost always beats waiting on a van in Adelaide traffic.

Not sure what you need?

A short call costs nothing and usually settles it either way.

Aaron Waltman, founder of Support Adelaide

You get the engineer, not a call centre

Support Adelaide is Aaron Waltman, a senior engineer running an owner-operated practice as Support Perth IT Pty Ltd. Adelaide clients are looked after remotely, the way most IT work is done now, with onsite attendance arranged when hardware or cabling needs hands on it. He answers the phone, does the work, and explains it without jargon. Every review on this page is his.

Frequently asked questions

Plain answers on response times, rates, coverage, and how the work actually gets done.

How fast is a response?
Urgent faults get a same-day response, and usually a reply within a couple of hours of the call landing. Managed IT clients are triaged ahead of ad-hoc work. Cover runs seven days a week on ACST, weekends and public holidays included.
Which parts of Adelaide do you cover?
Metropolitan Adelaide, taken broadly: the CBD grid and North Terrace, the Kent Town and Norwood strips, the northern corridor through Mawson Lakes and Salisbury up as far as Gawler, the south down to Noarlunga, and the Hills. No call-out fee inside that area. Remote support reaches anywhere in Australia.
Is a contract involved?
None is required. Ad-hoc work is pay as you go with nothing to sign at all. Managed IT runs month to month, which means the arrangement continues because it is working rather than because a term keeps you in it.
Do you charge to come out?
There is no call-out fee for on-site visits within metro Adelaide, from Gawler in the north down to Noarlunga in the south. Beyond that boundary a modest travel charge may apply. Remote sessions carry no travel component whatsoever.
Can the team be supported remotely?
Yes, and remote is the default. The great majority of faults are cleared over a secure remote session, which is usually quicker than anyone driving across town. Attendance in person is reserved for work that is physical: cabling, hardware swaps, a fit-out in one of the older CBD buildings.
What happens in a remote session?
Splashtop SOS handles attended sessions. You download and run the Support App on the affected device and it displays a nine-digit code. Read that code out to Aaron and the connection opens straight away: no account, no permanent installation. The whole session plays out on your own screen while you watch, and closing the app ends it.
Are you around after hours and on weekends?
Yes. Cover runs seven days. For anything urgent outside ordinary business hours, call 1300 769 337 directly and we will get onto it as quickly as we can, ACST.
What does managed IT actually include?
Ongoing patching and monitoring, endpoint and email security, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace administration, backup verification, and priority access to a senior engineer. The commercial model is deliberately plain and there is no bundled retainer for labour: work is billed at $180/hr ex GST, an optional $29.95 per endpoint per month covers the security baseline and custom device management, and every project is quoted in writing before it starts.
What does IT support cost in Adelaide?
Ad-hoc work is $180/hr ex GST, billed with a one-hour minimum and 30-minute increments after that, and there is no call-out fee inside metro Adelaide. Managed clients pay the same $180/hr for labour plus the optional $29.95 per endpoint per month security baseline. There is no fixed-fee labour plan, nothing hidden, and nothing locked in.
Can you help us get value out of ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot?
Yes, AI automation is a standing service. We configure and integrate ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot and custom workflows, then train the people who actually have to use them. The measure of success is hours returned on drafting, summarising and repetitive admin, not another subscription nobody opens.
What is the Essential Eight, and does it apply to us?
The Essential Eight is the Australian Signals Directorate's baseline: eight mitigation strategies spanning multi-factor authentication, application control, patching, administrative privileges and backups. Most Australian businesses should be working toward it, and defence and manufacturing suppliers are increasingly asked about it by their primes and insurers. We audit against the framework and implement the controls at whatever maturity level matches your risk.
Can you move us from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365?
Yes, it is routine work here. Mail, calendars, contacts, Drive and shared drive content, and user permissions all move across on a plan built to keep downtime short. DNS cutover is managed for you, forwarding stays in place through the transition, and nothing is removed at the source until the new tenant has been verified.
